Home/Privacy Policy
What happens to anything you send us through this website. In plain English, and shorter than most.
The short version. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The only thing it collects is what you type into the enquiry form. We use that to reply to you. We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to any list.
Nadi Beach Apartments is a small, family-owned business at 6 Wasawasa Road, Wailoaloa Beach, Nadi, Fiji. We own and manage the property ourselves. There is no agency, no call centre and no marketing department — when you contact us, you are writing to the owners.
This policy explains what happens to any information you give us through this website. It is short because the site does very little with your data.
The only information this website collects from you is what you type into the enquiry form and choose to send. That is:
Only your name and e-mail address are required. Every other field can be left blank and the form will still reach us.
Like nearly every website, the server that delivers these pages keeps a routine log of requests. That log typically holds the IP address of the visitor, the time, the page requested and the browser used. We do not use these logs to build a profile of you, and we do not link them to enquiries. They are kept by our hosting provider for a short period as part of running and securing the server.
This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics — no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no heatmaps, no session recording. There are no advertising tags and no tracking of any kind. We do not know who you are before you write to us.
We use what you send through the enquiry form to answer your enquiry. That means reading it, replying to you by e-mail or phone, and — if it goes further — discussing an apartment, a lease and a moving-in date with you.
We do not use your details for marketing. We do not run a mailing list, so you will not be added to one. If you ask us to let you know when something becomes available, we will keep your message for that purpose and only that purpose, and you can tell us at any time to delete it.
We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise pass your personal information to anyone for their own purposes. Ever.
Very few parties, and only where the website cannot function otherwise:
We may also disclose information if we are required to by law, which for us means an order of a Fijian court or a lawful request from a Fijian authority.
A note on fonts. Loading fonts from Google’s servers means your IP address reaches Google before you have done anything on the site. We would rather that did not happen, and we are moving to serving the fonts from our own server so that no third party is involved in simply reading a page. Until that change is made, this is an accurate description of what happens.
Enquiries sit in our e-mail like any other correspondence. We keep them while there is a reason to — an ongoing conversation, an upcoming lease, a waiting list you asked to be on — and clear them out when there is not.
If you become a tenant, the records that go with a tenancy (the lease, payment records, correspondence) are kept for as long as the tenancy runs and for a reasonable period afterwards, because we may need them for tax and legal purposes.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any point and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Whatever country you are writing from, you can ask us to:
Write to info@nadibeach.com or call +679 758 6670 and we will deal with it ourselves. There is no form to fill in and no charge. We aim to respond within a few days; we are a small operation in a different time zone to most of our enquirers, so please allow for that.
We are based in Fiji. Fiji does not currently have a comprehensive data protection statute; personal privacy, including the confidentiality of personal information, is recognised under section 24 of the Constitution of Fiji, and confidentiality duties sit in various sector-specific laws. There is no national data protection authority to complain to.
Many of the people who write to us are in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the European Union or the United States, where stronger rules apply. Rather than argue about which law reaches us, we have written this policy to describe plainly what actually happens, and we will honour the requests listed above for anyone who asks, wherever they are.
This site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the enquiry form is encrypted between your browser and the server. Your enquiry then sits in an ordinary e-mail account protected by a password and two-factor authentication.
We will not pretend to more than that. We are a three-apartment rental business, not a bank. Please do not send us passport scans, bank details, card numbers or copies of identity documents through the website form — if we ever need something of that kind, we will arrange a sensible way to hand it over.
This site links out to a small number of other places, including our sister site Beautiful Pacific Holidays and our Facebook page. Once you follow a link away from here, this policy no longer applies and the other site’s own terms take over.
This website is aimed at adults looking for somewhere to live or stay. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us something through the form, tell us and we will delete it.
If we change how the site handles information — for example when we move the fonts onto our own server, or if we ever add analytics — we will update this page and change the date at the bottom. We will not make a change quietly and backdate it.
Anything at all about this policy, or about information we hold:
