Home/Apartments/Front Apartment
Open plan living with a separate bedroom, a store room and a large, screened veranda overlooking Wasawasa Road.
You come in from the veranda straight into the kitchen, which opens onto the living area rather than being closed off from it, so the two run together as one bright space with large breezy windows (all screened). A store room opens off the kitchen. At the far end a dressing room, with doors leading to the bedroom and bathroom.
The dressing room is the thing neither of the other two apartments has. It opens off the living area and has a basin and shelving for linen and towels, with the bathroom leading off one side and the bedroom off the corner. It means two people can get ready at the same time without queuing for the bathroom, and it keeps the bathroom itself clear.
The store room is the other difference. Somewhere to put suitcases, sports gear and the things that otherwise end up stacked in the corner of a one-bedroom flat.
The bedroom is a proper separate room with a door, rather than a divided space — worth knowing if you are sharing, or if one of you keeps different hours to the other.
Outside there is a private veranda.
The front door opens from the veranda into the kitchen, which is open to the living area beyond it rather than walled off. The store room sits beside the kitchen and opens off it.
At the far end the living area opens into the dressing room, and both the bathroom and the bedroom lead off that. So neither is reached straight from the living space — the dressing room acts as a small lobby between them.
