Rarely will you find such perfectly located apartments in Nadi for rent at an affordable price. These three self-contained rentals sit downstairs from our house at 6 Wasawasa Road, all with air-conditioning, good privacy, and raised almost a meter above ground level in well-kept tropical gardens with fruit trees including bananas, guava, soursop, pawpaws and pineapples, as well as golden palms for screening and orchids for colour.
The apartments are less than a minute's walk from Wailoaloa Beach, home to Smugglers Cove, the Beach Club, Ramada and the Crowne Plaza Resort. Wailoaloa Beach is Nadi's tourist hub, a 15-minute drive south of Nadi International Airport and 10-minutes from Nadi Town and the road to Denarau.
All three are suited to singles or couples, and are ideal for executives, pilots, and anyone looking for a home away from home. Each has air-conditioning, ceiling or wall fans, is partly furnished, and has its own private entrance and private veranda.
We let on a minimum 6-month lease, but usually for 1-year, which suits expatriate couples and singles working in Fiji who still want a relaxed, beachside setting. Beach bars, restaurants, a modern supermarket and a taxi rank are all in the neighbourhood. The gardens are landscaped, very peaceful, and the property is secure.
We have owned the property for 20 years. It was once our family home; after our children moved to Australia, we converted the living space into apartments in 2018.

View Back ApartmentThe neighbourhood, known as Wailoaloa Beach (or to the older generation as Newtown Beach), has eight hotels, several lively beachfront bars, a dozen restaurants, a gym, a modern supermarket and liquor shop. There is 24-hr taxi rank along the road, and it is also serviced by regular bus into Nadi Town. There’s a public golf course 5-minutes’ walk away and it’s also close to the Turtle Airways seaplane base.
Wailoaloa Beach is a fantastic spot for beach walking, with both sunrise (over the mountains) and sunset (over the sea) visible year-round. Wailoaloa is also home to the local outrigger canoe club, and the ocean here is ideal for paddleboarding.

One room upstairs is being converted into a self-contained studio for holidays rather than long lets — a week at a minimum instead of 6-months. The rest of the upper floor is our own home. It suits couples who want the beach on the doorstep and their own front door rather than a resort corridor. Work is still going on, so there are no photographs of it yet.
