If you decide not to stay at Nadi Beach, here are some other options to consider. Upmarket Denarau Island is located 25 minutes south nof Nadi on a reclaimed mangrove island connected to Nadi by a small bridge. Denarau has a championship 18-hole golf course, extremely well manicured and with lots of water and sand hazards but boringly flat and without views. Denarau also has the glitzy shopping arcade of Port Denarau with fine restaurants and boutique shops. Fast passenger ferries to the Mamanuca Islands depart from Port Denarau. There are several hotels located around Nadi Airport which makes a convenient base for the airport, but they are all located along the main inland highway and you can't walk to shops or restaurants - everything is by taxi. More convenient to Nadi's nightlife is Martintar, also on the inland highway but smack in the middle of Nadi's urban sprawl. Westin Beach Resort, Denarau - $$$$$  Large brand hotel on Denarau Island offering modern contemporary facilities mixed with traditional architure and aimed mostly at couples and older holiday-makers. Sheraton Resort Fiji, Denarau - $$$$$  Large hotel on Denarau Island with shops, large swimming pool and access to golf and tennis courts - good for families. Sofitel Beach Resort, Denarau - $$$$  Lively resort on Denarau Island with plenty of water activities - located on the best section of beach on Denarau. Tanoa Hotel, Nadi Airport - $$$$  Business style hotel close to Nadi Airport making a convenient stop over for tourists heading to the outer islands. Novotel Hotel, Nadi Airport - $$$$  Located inland from the coast and perched on a hilltop, this brand hotel has a small 9-hole golf course Anchorage Beach Resort, Nadi North - $$  Located on a tidal beach without swimming lagoon, this boutique resort offers fabulous views in a rural setting 10 minutes north of Nadi Raffles Hotel, Nadi Airport - $$  Smack opposite the airport entrance, this convenient hotel is a great stopover base Hexagon Hotel, Martintar - $  Located in lively Martintar close to shops, restaurants, Nadi's best bars and nighclubs, this is a good clean budget hotel Nadi Bay Hotel, Martintar - $  Located in Martintar close to bars and restaurants, this is a good option for backpackers looking to enjoy Nadi's nightlife.
